Do connecting cables make that big of a difference in picture resolusion for HDTV’s?
hdtv
yp_joe_arlington_887 asked:

I have an hdtv i just bought (vizio vw26l), the picture is less than I had hoped but I haven’t hooked it up with HDMI cables yet. I ordered some cables that come in later this week. Is the picture quality related to the cables? Will it improve with the better cables. I’ve just connected to the DVR box through the basic coaxial cable. Does anyone know the effect of cables on an hdtv?

Yes and No. They do make a difference but there is no need to go overthetop either. Some people spend a fortune in cables they don’t need.

The programming you’re watching also makes a difference. If you’re watching Regular Def programming, cables won’t make much of a difference. You need to subscribe to HD programming.
