What you want to get is a giant screen overlay similar to what they use on games that clings to the screen with a mild static cling - then you can clean those with just about anything, and when it gets too dirty, peel it off and put on another one, keeping your original screen nice and pristine.
Otherwise, take out the manual for the LCD TV and read in the back of the book under care instructions, they specifically state exactly what you can and cannot use to clean the screen - it differs by manufacturer and whats used to make the screen itself.

Depending on how dirty it gets, maybe every 2-3 weeks. I don’t even clean mine, only about probably 2 months.
Do you smoke in the TV room? If so, once a month….
If you DON’T smoke….Once a month……
Now if it gets dusty before “Once a month” clean it….Then give it about Once a month again…..
Don’t OVERCLEAN….especially if its an LCD TV screen or plasma….You can wear out the plasma coating, or the LCD can get cracked…..
If it ain’t dirty…don’t clean it.
