How do I get rid of this discoloring green blob image off my HDTV?

So I picked this HDTV from a friend and its one of those really heavy 47″ Sony Trinitron tvs and I have this discoloring on the upper left and right side of the tv and a discoloring on the bottom left. Its a greenish color and its distorting the color/video on the tv. Any ideas what it is and/or how to get rid of it?

if its a tube tv i know some say hdtv when they are tubes it needs degaussing probably, if its a rear projection unit you need to check the convergence check the manual on how to do that some have an auto convergence others are manual, you might need to replace the board but check the manual or check online for an online one
