How long do you think it will be before high definition tv is no longer hdtv?

there already is a test television at twice the resolution of current HDTV
about as long as it took for mobile phones to be called cell phones or casettes to be called tapes or until it gets a really catchy new name given to it by commercial industries/ trend setters
When HDTV services become free-view like current “low definition” TV.

I was at the Conumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas last week. In walking through there, it was clear that as far as the industry is concerned HDTV is the norm. There wasn’t one display that I saw that wasn’t HDTV.
