How to reconfigure my PS3 from an HDTV to a regular TV?

My PS3 was set up to work on an HDTV but not i’d like to move it to a regular TV as odd as that sounds. When i hook it up to the normal tv it doesn’t work because it’s in HD mode or something. Apparently i have to change it while its hooked up to the HDTV to work on a normal tv. Does anyone know how to do that?

I went through the same. Just plug in the PS3 to the regular tv with the red.white.yellow cord, and hold down the power button so it can reset itself, and it’ll reconfigure itself to the regular tv from the HDTV. When you want to set it back to the HDTV, do the same with the HDTV.
Yes you can. the system should come with the component cables(red, yellow and white) plug these cables into your TV set and rest the system and it should work perfectly.
Its as easy as holding the power button. Hold the power button untill the PS3 beeps twice.
