Who has the best value in HDTV service Direct TV, Dish Network or TimeWarner Cable?
Hugh asked:
I just bought an HDTV and want to get the best bang for my buck when it comes to service for it. It seems everyone wants an arm and two legs for HD service.

Try the free Off-the-Air HD broadcast channels in your area first. You’ll just have to get an HD antenna for $30. It’s only a few channels (4-5 channels) - but hey, it’s FREE.
The best in terms of quality comes over the air, and will continue to do so until the cable providers figure out a better compression system for the data. If memory serves DirecTV has the most channels in HD at this time.
Dish Network charders 20 dollars a month for HD programming. Direct Tv has the most HD channels and only charges 10 bucks a month. I am not sure, but I thought Time Warner had free HD service. Also over the air HD free. Those networks are abc, nbc, cbs and fox. The normally broadcast on numbers like these: 12.1, 23.1, etc.
